Balteau Monopolar X-Ray Tubes

Flexible X-Ray Tube Solutions for Fixed & Mobile Installations

Balteau Monopolar X-Ray Tubes

Balteau Monopolar X-Ray Tubes provide flexibility for both fixed and mobile radiographic installations. The tubes are designed around an insert housed within a shielded housing, with a ceramic high-voltage (HV) cone providing the connection to the X-ray generator.

The tube’s internal cooling system uses a serpentine tube through which coolant circulates, helping remove heat directly from the anode. This provides efficient anode and target cooling, helping protect the tube and contribute to an extended operating lifetime.

Designed for Reliable Industrial Radiography

The monopolar tube design provides a robust solution for industrial radiographic applications where reliable X-ray generation and installation flexibility are important. The shielded housing incorporates the tube insert and cooling circuit into a compact assembly, while the ceramic HV cone provides the connection point to the generator.

Efficient Anode Cooling

A key feature of the Balteau monopolar tube design is its internal cooling circuit.

Coolant, consisting of water with an optional additive for cold-weather applications, circulates through a serpentine tube positioned within the housing. The cooling circuit removes heat directly from the anode, providing efficient thermal protection for the anode and target.

This efficient cooling arrangement helps protect the tube during operation and contributes to improved tube lifetime.

Quick & Secure Connections

The tube incorporates quick connectors with directional identification, simplifying connection of the cooling circuit.

The high-voltage connection end can be configured with either a fixed flange or quick flange.

The quick-flange option allows the X-ray tube to be changed quickly when an application requires different irradiation techniques using more than one tube.

Key Features

    • Suitable for fixed or mobile installations
    • Insert housed within a shielded housing
    • Ceramic HV cone for generator connection
    • Internal serpentine cooling circuit
    • Efficient anode and target cooling
    • Water-based coolant with optional additive for cold climates
    • Quick connectors with directional identification
    • Fixed or quick-flange HV connection options
    • Quick tube changes where multiple irradiation techniques are required
    • Designed for improved tube protection and service life

Applications

Balteau Monopolar X-Ray Tubes are designed for integration into industrial radiographic systems where flexibility between fixed and mobile installations is required.

The ability to use a quick flange can also be advantageous in applications where different irradiation techniques require the use of more than one X-ray tube.
